The problem

Why does one AWS question take two days?

Before

Cost sits in billing, security findings in another console, usage in monitoring and ownership in a spreadsheet, so every cross-functional question means exporting, pasting and reconciling by hand.

After

One question in plain English, one answer from your own data, with cost, security and performance side by side.

69%

of companies run six or more tools just to watch their systems.

What you can ask

What can we ask Sherpa about our AWS account?

  • Cost

    • What went up in the last 30 days?
    • What's running for nobody?
    • What would we save by moving to Graviton?
  • Security

    • Where are we most exposed?
    • How ready are we for SOC 2?
    • Who has admin access they don't use?
  • Inventory

    • What are we running that nobody owns?
    • Which runtimes are out of support?
    • What changed since yesterday's scan?
  • Performance

    • Which services are slowest this week?
    • Which Lambda functions are failing?
    • Which pages load slowest for our users?
Answers you can act on

Can we trust the answer?

  1. 1

    From your own data.

Every figure about your account comes from your own AWS data, not from general AWS knowledge, so answers reflect the environment you actually run.

  2. 2

    Clear about what it used.

Cost answers state the date your bill runs through, monitoring answers state when the data was last measured, and totals add up to their line items.

  3. 3

    The next step.

When there's a fix, the answer points to the remediation plan in Automate. Sherpa never applies a fix; your team does.

Make it yours

Can we set Sherpa up for each team?

  • Personalized Sherpas.

Admins create a dedicated Sherpa for each team, such as a FinOps Analyst, a CFO Advisor or a DevOps Engineer, each with its own instructions, style and reference documents.

  • Your files.

Attach a PDF, Word, CSV, JSON or text file, such as a budget or an architecture document, and ask about it alongside your AWS data.

  • Web search.

Off unless you turn it on, for questions that need public information beyond your own environment.

Questions

Questions we get asked.

What is the Sherpa Knowledge Graph?

It gives your team one place to ask about AWS cost, security, inventory and performance in plain English, with answers grounded in your own data and returned side by side in one reply. Sherpa is an AI platform for AWS.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT about AWS?

A general-purpose chatbot can't see your AWS account, so it can only describe AWS in general terms. Sherpa answers from your own cost, security, inventory and performance data.

Can it answer general AWS questions too?

Yes, for AWS concepts and terminology. Any figure about your own account still comes from your data, never from general knowledge.

Can Sherpa change things from the chat?

No. Sherpa never applies a fix; it points to the remediation plan, and your team reviews and applies it.
