What is Sherpa?
Sherpa is an AI platform for AWS. It analyzes your cost, security, inventory and observability data, answers questions about your own environment, and writes a remediation plan for the problems it finds, including the code where it applies. Your team decides what to apply.
How do I connect my AWS account?
On your onboarding call, your team deploys one CloudFormation template in your AWS management account with ours, and an in-app guide checks the connection. It takes about ten minutes. For application data, you send OpenTelemetry from your own collector or SDK with a Sherpa API key.
What happens after I sign up?
A member of the Sherpa team contacts you within one business day to arrange a short introductory call about your AWS environment and goals, and walks you through an annual Sherpa contract, through AWS Marketplace or by invoice. Once your contract is in place, we set up your Sherpa account and connect your AWS organization with you on a 30-minute onboarding call. Want to see the savings first? Is there a free trial?

How soon do I see results?
Cost data typically arrives within 48 hours of connecting. CloudWatch monitoring data arrives once you enable it and is billed to your own AWS account.
Does Sherpa make changes to my AWS account?
Only what's needed to connect. You connect your AWS accounts once, with our team, so Sherpa can read your data. After that, Sherpa never applies a fix; your team does. Each remediation plan comes as steps, AWS CLI commands, and CloudFormation or Terraform, and your team decides what to apply, and when.
Can I disconnect Sherpa?
Yes, at any time. Our team will guide yours through removing everything Sherpa set up.
Is my data safe?
Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Sherpa connects through roles you can see in your own account. We use infrastructure-level data and the questions your team asks, with identifiers masked, to improve Sherpa's models, and you can opt out at any time by emailing info@sherpa-agent.com. What is the Sherpa Knowledge Graph?
It lets you ask one question across cost, security, observability and inventory and receive a single answer grounded in your own AWS data.
How is this different from asking a general AI chatbot?
A general-purpose chatbot cannot see your AWS environment, so its answers stay generic. Sherpa answers from your own cost, security and usage data.
What does the FinOps Assessment include?
A 30-minute setup call, 30 days of data, then a report and a readout presentation covering idle and unused resources, rightsizing, scheduling and Savings Plans. One fixed fee, set by your monthly AWS spend.
Can I buy Sherpa through AWS Marketplace?
Yes. Sherpa is available in AWS Marketplace, so it can be procured and billed through your existing AWS account.
Does Sherpa work with Azure or Google Cloud?
Not today. Sherpa is purpose-built for AWS.
